What this site is

An independent comparison of the guided trips that run from Riyadh to the Edge of the World, plus the practical information a visitor needs before booking one. We are not a tour operator, a travel agency or a seller of travel. We hold no bookings, take no payments and have no staff in Saudi Arabia.

Every booking happens on the operator's own platform under their terms. If something goes wrong with a trip, the operator and the platform are who you deal with, not us.

Where the tour data comes from

Prices, durations, ratings, review counts, inclusions, meeting points, age restrictions and cancellation terms are read directly off each operator's own listing and reproduced with the date they were read. Every tour page carries the same fields in the same order so six trips run by six different companies can be compared line by line.

We do not reproduce operator marketing descriptions. Where an itinerary time or an inclusion is quoted — the hours on the cliff, the length of a camel ride, the cave stop — it comes from the listing's own published itinerary block, which is also the source of the time-on-the-cliff figures used throughout this site.

Where the site information comes from

Distance from Riyadh, elevation, the state of the access track, the absence of an entry fee, the lack of facilities and the seasonal temperature ranges are checked against Saudi tourism sources and against recent first-hand visitor reports, then dated on the page.

Where sources disagree we say so and show what each one claims. The clearest example is the height: listings advertise a 1,131-metre cliff, which is the elevation of the clifftop above sea level, while the cliff face itself falls roughly 300 metres to the plain. Both figures are published; only one of them is the drop.

Monthly temperature figures are long-term averages for the Riyadh plateau, not a forecast for your date.

How traveller feedback is used

Traveller feedback reviewed: more than 3,100 verified reviews across the six listings, together with the platform's own sub-scores for guide, transport and value for money, which are what allow us to say that guides here score consistently while vehicles do not.

Where we describe what reviewers say, we describe the platform's published review summary and its numeric sub-scores, and we attribute both. Critical patterns are reported alongside positive ones: crowded back rows, unreliable air conditioning and unclear pickup timing all appear on this site because they appear in the feedback. We never write testimonials.

What we cannot verify

We do not drive the route, ride along on the tours, meet the guides or inspect the vehicles. We cannot tell you whether a particular SUV's air conditioning will hold up in June, whether the track is passable after this week's rain, or whether a listed inclusion appeared on the day.

We also cannot see live availability or the price you will be quoted for your date. The figures here are starting prices at the time of the check; the number that matters is the one on the checkout page.

How affiliate links affect this

Links to tours are affiliate links. If you book through one, the platform pays a commission and you pay the same price you would pay going directly. The full arrangement is set out in the affiliate disclosure.

Commission does not decide which tours appear, the order they sit in, or what is said about them. The most expensive listing on this site is the one carrying its most critical passage, and it is flagged as not going to the Edge of the World at all.

Corrections

Prices move, operators change meeting points and desert tracks change with the weather. If a number here is out of date, tell us what you found and when you were there. Corrections get made and the check date on the page is updated with them.
